“Be still, sad heart, and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.” ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
It’s a rainy, dark day here in NC. I actually started this painting yesterday with a totally different painting and painted over it today. I like how it seems the emerging sky is taking place (behind the clouds the sun is still shining)…Again my iphone takes sucky blurred pictures – it looks clearer in person…:-)
Really see the sun trying hard to come through those dark clouds….like it a lot. Also never knew the “into each life” came from Henry: interesting!

Thanks! It was a tough one – struggled with the painting yesterday – looked completely different… !

The sun always shines after a super storm!! Love the painting as I can clearly see that the storm will finish! 🙂
